so thursday night revealed alexander wang as gq's 5th yearly best new menswear designer.
the prize was £50,000 and the chance to design a piece for an up and coming dockers collaboration. all other finalists also received a mentorship with dockers (kirk miller, michael bastian for gant, patrick ervell, rick klotz and riviera club's derek buse, joe sadler and greg ullery)
i admit to never hearing of patrik ervell before, upon looking him up turns out he has one of the coolest websites ever, check it out: patrik ervell
i hope michael bastian and rick klotz were close seconds, they are both amazing talented designers. bastians work for gant has done so much for the brand aswell imo, i guess wang has one of the most recognisable and iconic styles though, well done to the chap..
